The Solid Waste Management Association of the Philippines (SWAPP), Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit association with membership from national government agencies, local government units, institutional organizations, professionals, academe, students and solid waste management practitioners who are committed to the proper management of solid waste for a sustainable environment.
In sixteen (16) years of SWAPP existence, the association operates as small non-government organization duly registered in SEC and BIR with a multi-sectoral interdisciplinary network of solid waste management professionals and practitioners.
The association aims to build capacity of each member to manage solid waste problems in their respective areas. SWAPP provides trainings, technical assistance, research, information exchange, and network building as in providing and undertaking accredited technical/vocational courses on SWM with the Technical and Educational Skills Development Authority or TESDA.
