Third International Symposium on Energy and Biomass and Waste, November 8-11, 2010 Venice, Italy.
The Symposium is organized by the International Waste Working Group (IWWG) with the scientific support of other important organizations. The Symposium topics are: biomass & waste characterization as a potential energy source, renewable fuels, anaerobic digestion, refuse-derived fuel (RDF), thermal treatments, (combustion, pyroslysis, gasification, and others), economics aspects, decision tools, policies, and legal aspects and healthy issues, public acceptance, experience and new developments and developing countries. The aim of the Venice 2010 Symposium is to focus on the advances made in the application of technologies for energy recovery from biomass and waste and to encourage discussions on relevant aspects such as: reliability of process and technologies, full scale applicability of new process, technical and economical optimisation and environmental impact and potential health effects. The Symposium will last four days and will include oral session, a poster session, a small exhibition by companies working in the field and technical tours. Venice 2010 will be held in Venice in the prestigious setting of the Fondazione Cini on the island of S. Gregoria Maggiore (in front of St. Mark's square).
